Summary Mass General Brigham's board and system-wide executive leadership are making significant investments in enterprise data and digital health, enabling innovation and transformation in the delivery of health care, research and discovery. By building out core digital and data capabilities, we are supporting the achievement of Mass General Brigham's mission to drive growth and innovation in inpatient, ambulatory, and digital care. We are at the start of this journey and we are looking for talented individuals from across the nation to join us in transforming healthcare and in achieving the expected outcomes of this strategy: improved patient care, quality of care, patient engagement, and efficiency in the delivery of healthcare with excellence. In the achievement of these goals, Mass General Brigham's data and analytic teams are working together to build a system-wide data ecosystem. We are both leveraging current assets and building new, integrated solutions to provide a holistic set of industry-leading data and analytic capabilities, supporting Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and real-time insights. Teams from Data and Analytics, Research Analytics, Clinical Data Science, and Information Systems are collaborating to build this new data and analytic ecosystem. To ensure success of this effort, Mass General Brigham is standing up a new Data and Analytics operating model with a goal of driving a level of standardization for data and analytic operations across the teams involved. The value of investments in data and analytics were proven out during our response to COVID-19 as these investments were leveraged to stand up new reporting and analytic capabilities to support executive and clinical leadership on managing the pandemic. Our broad data and analytic community has come together across Mass General Brigham 's 14 healthcare sites with shared urgency, delivering analytic tools to our system that drove timely insights in both clinical and operational domains, resulting in effective delivery of critical care and in organizational efficiencies during a time of reduced resources. The Platform Administrator is the technical and system owner of the Collibra data governance platform owned by the team. This person administers, maintains and supports (including troubleshooting issues with) the platform under vendor-recommended guidelines and in line with departmental policy and procedures. S/he will work closely with their team members and DAO leadership to ensure that appropriate technical and analytical solutions are provided and meet desired goals and help enable agility for our entire organization which is a complex, multi-campus organization. Principal Duties & Role Functions • Use/s the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions and behaviors. These values guide how we get our work done: Patients, Affordability, Accountability & Service Commitment, Decisiveness, Innovation & Thoughtful Risk; and how we treat each other: Diversity & Inclusion, Integrity & Respect, Learning, Continuous Improvement & Personal Growth, Teamwork & Collaboration • Act as the system and technical owner of the Collibra platform. S/he he will collaborate with other administrators and provide back up support to other platforms such as Informatic Data Quality, Tableau and SAS. • Architects, designs and develops workflows and other tasks within the various Collibra environments to support hospital based applications. • Develops new and enhances existing communities to meet business needs and translate domain requirements into effective design • Plans and prepares for and manages deployments into production environment by following team's established standards and processes. • Models solutions and ensures quality assurance and timely delivery of data. • Investigates, troubleshoots and corrects data and user related system errors, and ensures data integrity. • Develops best practices for solutions that help end users access and analyze data ingested from enterprise data warehouse, data marts, data lake, business intelligence platforms and operational systems. • Works with data stewards, data custodians, product ownders and end users to define business rules and interpret data needs • Regularly reviews and proposes updates to current standards and processes to align them with changing organizational policy and procedures or with industry best practices. • Performs intra-platform synchronization analysis to generate automated methods of keeping platforms in sync; support api integrations with SQL Server, Tableau and Microsoft Azure Data Lake • • Responsible to oversee the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the Collibra platform. Seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the platform meet the needs of the users. • Monitors the platform daily and responds to availability, security or usability concerns within the pre-agreed-upon SLA windows • Analyzes system logs, identifies and follows ways to be proactive in identifying potential issues with the platform. • Work with MGB IS Open Systems team to coordinate, schedule, and manage system updates, patches, and configuration changes. • Install and configure new versions of the platform software in line with the formal procedures established by the vendor and/or with the industry best practices when vendor direction is not available. • Has responsibility for documenting the configuration of the platform. • Performs performance tuning. • Troubleshoots any reported problems, in a fast-paced environment under constraints and stress. • Manages and maintains relationships with vendors and teams from other parts of the organization to provide seamless support to end users on the Collibra platform he or she is responsible for. • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks; participating in technical societies. • Maintains client and user confidence and protects operations by keeping sensitive information confidential.
