Case load includes comprehensive health care for wellness and sick animal exams, surgery and dentistry. Equipment to assist in these endeavors includes in house lab equipment, digital radiology, ultrasound, surgical and therapeutic laser. Responsibilities include: -Performing comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. -Building rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to their concerns. -Communicating with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventative health care and nutritional needs. -Maintaining client/patient medical/surgical records through established protocols. -Staying current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. -Assisting in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality medicine and exceptional client service. -Presenting a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and the general public. Skills and Basic Qualifications: -A DVM or related degree from an accredited university. -Licensure in good standing to practice in PA. -Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Collaborative work with hospital team members. -Modeling a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients. -Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth. |
