Overview: St. John Fisher College, an independent, liberal arts institution in the Catholic tradition located in Rochester, New York, seeks nominations and applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor in English literature with a primary focus on Shakespeare. Preference will be given to applicants whose work is informed by interdisciplinary approaches and/or postcolonial theory and who can teach courses in the College's Core curriculum. An expertise in teaching film is also desirable. The position is available beginning August 2021. PhD or ABD in English Literature with a specialization in Shakespearean studies. Ability to teach a wide range of courses at the undergraduate level. Demonstrated ability to be an excellent teacher.
