**Position can located anywhere within the USA** The Industry Consultant, Mining and Metals is responsible for providing Rockwell Automation, and our customers, with Mining and Metals domain expertise driving growth through industry and customer insight, disciplined sales and BU collaboration, market intelligence, and qualified sales leads with optimized products and solutions. The Industry Consultant will be a focal point for technical industry insights, trends, and uses of Rockwell Automation's full technology stack. Providing guidance, direction, insight, and being able to extract key requirements from engagements to help guide our customers along their digital transformation journey. The Industry Consultant will apply his/her domain expertise of Mining and Metals processes, production experience, and project engineering methodologies to solve customer problems to create a competitive advantage for our customers and drive strategic initiatives that will allow Rockwell Automation to better serve the industry. This position is within the Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) organization and will have responsibility for supporting the growth of our Enterprise Accounts and their ecosystems, as well as the Global Industry for Mining and Metals. Core responsibilities Enterprise Accounts - Be the technical lead and domain expert for Customer interactions, discussions, and detailed workshops. Instant credibility when engaging with customers, industry experts, and Rockwell resources is the expectation.
- Working alongside pre-sales resources, meeting with customers to understand their desired business outcomes, and translating those business outcomes into product, services, solutions, applications, and system/architectural recommendations that bring value to customers.
- Drive customer interactions and initiatives ensuring the highest level of customer intimacy attainable through our organization.
Global Industry Team - Provide leadership and organizational support of the company-wide Industry Domain Expertise Team.
- Support the Industry leaders on Business Strategy Review (BSR) development to drive product, services, and solutions roadmap prioritization and planning with the Business Units.
- Align activities and strategic planning with Global Industry Marketing Director/VP and Industry Teams.
- Assist in the determination & assessment of partnering opportunities.
- Establish and maintain an internal network of technical resources to ensure best practices and competency is leveraged globally. Propagate the value.
- Assist in Enterprise and Strategic Account Technical Management / Development.
- Provide pre-sales consultations to key accounts where required.
- Coaching on key account opportunities and future growth strategy.
- Develop and train Industry Team bi-annually on Industry Trends and Best Practices. Market / Application Expertise.
- Engage Industry Standards Committees.
- Engage appropriate domain expertise in priority Strategic Account opportunities.
- Provide expertise to OEM segments to better support Industry initiatives.
Continuous Development, Intelligence and Presence - Represent the company in Industry events, gaining trends, insight, and competitive advantage that needs to be propagated to areas of the organization that lead to change.
- Represent industry through support/collaboration in building RA technical library development initiative.
- Assist in the development of Sales Enablement and Marketing for the Industry segment.
