What you will be doing in this role:
Responsible for leading a team of Analysts to support the data needs and integrity within the Advancement Department . This role will have leadership responsibility in project management and will work with staff, source data owners, information technology and service staff, and data user customers from various departments of the hospital. Plays an instrumental role in automating and building reporting tools to increase efficiency. Responsible for submitting data for regulatory reporting requirements.
- Data Quality Incident Analysis & Management:
a. Triage incoming data quality incidents or inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
b. Work with staff to track progress of data quality incidents in the Incident database.
c. Work with data users/customers and data suppliers to identify and resolve data quality issues by assessing their impact, investigating root cause, and working with business data owners to identify and implement solutions.
d. Integrates the use of information systems, databases, and data analytic tools to analyze and solve data quality problems.
- Exercises leadership responsibility in project management to support major departmental processes.
- Works with key customers to specify, develop, produce, and deliver on-time analytic reporting requests. Interacts with customer in a timely fashion to clarify needs sufficiently to allow development of report specifications. Follows up with customers after delivery to ensure need is met. Effectively interprets data and analytic reports for customers.
- Provides manager with project status updates on a regular basis. Basic parameters include volume, complexity, turnaround-time, subject, customer, analyst/programmer, re-work, errors, and ad hoc versus production. Contributes to the performance appraisals of staff members involved in above work processes.
- In-charge of developing a quality control process for data and reports built from data for customers.
- Develops and implements validation steps to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data analytic report production as prioritized by leadership.
- Responsible for developing analytic solutions to improve efficiency, data quality, and timeliness of reporting. Includes automating and building reporting tools to increase efficiency.
