We are located in the lovely Roanoke Valley along the I-95 corridor just below the Va state line. Beautiful Lake Gaston lies on the edge of town and extends up into Virginia. If you have never seen Lake Gaston you are in for a treat -- gorgeous homes line her banks and her vastness and beauty draws vacationers from all across the country as well as most of our locals. Boating, skiing, wake-boarding, tubing, and swimming are awesome here, as well as fishing! If you would rather venture into some white-water, the Roanoke River is less than ten minutes away -- a fisherman's canoeing and kayaking paradise!! We are proudly referred to as the Rockfish Capital of the World! If you prefer state parks for hiking, we have Medoc Mountain State Park within close distance. For the equestrian lovers, there are many group trail-rides year round close-by as well! We are located in a rural town where the population is under 20,000. While taking advantage of small town living, there are also the benefits of living in relatively close proximity to the unsurpassed beaches of North Carolina and South Carolina as well as the "bigger" cities -- Richmond to our North, Raleigh to our West (each about 1.25 hours away). Traffic is never an issue here and our southern hospitality is as big as any other town in NC! Creekside Animal Hospital is privately owned and opened in the summer of 2011. The dream was to be an independent animal hospital that offered the best service around from our greeting at the front door to our patient care and throughout all contact with our patients, clients, and staff. We are a modern hospital, utilizing Avimark, and almost paperless, practice high quality medicine and surgery, and have an amazing staff! We strive to treat our clients as we ourselves would want to be treated and not rushing our appointments. Developing a bond with our clients and their pets is a very important part of who we are. Our staff is carefully selected and is comprised of a very caring and compassionate group of people! Not only are they an amazing team that work exceptionally well together, but they have a fantastically blended sense of humor that makes each day a little less stressful in our crazy world of veterinary medicine! We have one full time DVM, two part time DVM's, and 5 full time vet assistants, making our "tech" to doc ratio very beneficial to our docs as well as our patients. We have a huge surgery suite, new Idexx Digital X-Ray system, in house Abaxis lab equipment, Ultrasound, Isolation suite, Dog and Cat Wards and ICU/treatment area. Specialty boarded surgeon comes in monthly to handle what we can't such as TPLO's, etc. One benefit of a rural area such as ours is that we see absolutely every medical problem/condition that exists!
