Strategic Acquisitions Planning Coordinator
We are looking for a highly motivated Strategic Acquisitions Planning Coordinator to assist the Indirect and Technology Development Programs Organization at Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) with its efforts to develop methods and processes aimed at enhancing its acquisition planning activities.
Responsibilities at the onset of the job will focus on providing structured support of research projects in developing and managing procurement plans. Duties will include:
*Collaborating with researchers to compile and perform quality control on pre-procurement documents and packages, including technical writing for Statements of Work, Equipment Data Sheets, and other procurement related documents and specifications.
*Working closely with internal customers to research and identify strategic suppliers for both materials and services
*Maintain and track annual procurement plans to include performing data analysis and data modeling.
*Assist CNS subcontract technical representatives to track and expedite critical procurements through acquisition phase
In due course, a successful Strategic Acquisitions Planning Coordinator will develop and implement efficiencies in the organization's procurement planning efforts. Responsibilities will include:
*Identifying opportunities for improvement in areas such as workflow, project management, processes, training, systems
*Developing and cultivating strategic relationships with internal and external customers
*Designing methods and managing strategies and procedures for improvement
*Develop key performance indicators and data metrics.
*Create and deliver training on newly created reporting tools and programs.
*Communicate technical requirements and definitions to build new systems
A successful candidate is an organized project manager, an excellent technical writer, and skilled in analysis. The role balances a variety of strategic, programmatic, and operational responsibilities in support of the broader organization. The candidate should possess persuasive and outstanding communications skills, and be effective in working across functional boundaries.
