This Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for: - Reporting to the Director of Internal & Executive Communications, and developing and executing internal communications for all employees through a variety of channels.
- Communicating BCH's values and culture internally in a way that fosters employee engagement and strengthens the institution.
- Creating an overall communications experience that not only engages and informs employees about the internal priorities and events, and soliciting their feedback, but also facilitating collaborative communication across the enterprise, including our satellite locations, physician offices and the practices of our Primary Care Alliance.
- Developing internal communication strategies that include regular content distributed through our internal website, employee communications mobile app, digital messaging, email communication and both in-person and remote-hosted events.
- Developing and maintaining a published 6-month content calendar for all internal communications vehicles, demonstrating the strategy and advance planning that goes into our communications.
- Attending, supporting and participating in department and team meetings and events, as well as events planned and implemented by our team.
- Providing input and deploying the latest communications tools and trends across the industry and upgrades appropriately.
- Organizing events and surveys to collect and share information related to the effectiveness of communications throughout the enterprise.
To qualify, you must have: - A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, communications or a related field.
- 5 years of experience. Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Social Chorus) is required.
- Experience with HTML formatting code is preferred.
- Regular photography and video production experience with producing and editing visual media and associated tools (e.g. PhotoShop, iMovie) is preferred.
