The Program Alignment Lead will report to the Program Director and be responsible for the day-to-day related project tasks and activities of their assigned functional working group, advisory committee, or other project-related teams. This position will lead the functional area through the implementation of system configurations, data migration, and improvement of business processes in the new system. They will collaborate closely with university advancement staff, university staff, and the vendor partner. This position will assist in the overall management of the Advancement Systems Replacement Project. The Program Alignment Lead may provide business analysis for projects with very large scope and impact, performing tasks to achieve an understanding of business change needs; assessing the impact of those changes; capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements; and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant parties.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a member of the Program Lead Team, collaborating with Advancement leadership and program team members to meet specific program deadlines within scope.
Influences decision-making on projects; works with key stakeholders, sponsors, and Program Lead Team to secure acceptance and approval of deliverables.
Monitors the functional team solutions to ensure requirements fulfillment and solution evaluation.
In conjunction with program management and business partners, manages strategy, approach, and needs of incoming projects within functional areas.
Leads and coordinates activities associated with requirements management.
Participates in recommending and leading implementation of continuous improvement plans for business analysis and project management.
Engaging with Stakeholders:
Serves as the functional lead, engages with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensures prioritization and alignment to business strategic objectives throughout the design and build, data migration, testing, and training stages.
Builds and maintains a strong project team relationship with key stakeholders and leaders to enable open communication and clear expectations regarding application development delivery.
Acts as a point of escalation on active initiatives within functional areas.
Identifies needed resources and develops timeframes to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables; lends subject matter expertise to teams.
Collaborates heavily with Project Managers, Program Directors, and University Advancement staff to initiate large projects.
Ensures business opportunities and objectives are clearly articulated.
Analysis, Design, Execution:
Enables process improvement and/or reengineering.
Facilitates requirements elicitation on large efforts, using techniques per plan.
Prioritizes requirements working with university partners and informs conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
Performs requirements management and communication; applies best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
Communicates project direction, approach, priorities, events and status to all project resources.
Provides consulting to all stakeholders regarding requirements management working with Project Management.

Bachelor’s degree plus six years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes leading work on projects in the IT and/or higher education industry demonstrating technical and/or business expertise; achieving resolution to complex technical or business issues, providing direction and leadership, fundraising or fundraising operations, alumni relations, financial operations, university or large institution business processes, data management, customer relations, and business process analysis.
Demonstrated skills in project analysis, negotiation, systems analysis, leadership and team building, client relationship management, process improvement and strategic planning.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, such as conflict/issue resolution.
Ability to organize and work effectively in a matrix organization with cross-functional project teams from various departments and locations.

ITIL framework and IT product methodologies.
Familiarity with testing techniques and software.
The hiring range for this position is $78,874 - $104,499 annually.
