Leads and facilitates the development of patient safety and performance improvement plans, processes and activities to meet the mission and goals of Yale Health. Serves as a patient safety, quality improvement and project management expert in methodologies, analyses and problem solving. Trains others in key concepts, skills and tools. Partners with regulatory and accreditation leadership to ensure successful maintenance of Joint Commission Certification, Infection Control requirements and other state or federal mandates around safety and quality. Responsible for assessment and development of information systems used to collect, analyze and report quality and safety data. Collaborate with department and senior leaders to develop project requirements and scope, cost-benefit analyses, return on investment, deliverables and performance improvement plans aligned with the core function of the department(s) and Yale Health. Create, define and execute project plans, project phases, milestones, and success criteria. Lead cross-functional project teams to address complex, inter-departmental and organization-wide projects. Present projects to senior leaders and Yale Health committees to provide pertinent information, progress status and gain consensus. Develops and implements tools to prioritize, manage and monitor projects to assure the most efficient use of available resources, meet deadlines, address challenges and reach goals. Preferred Education: Experience/familiarity with Joint Commission or other accrediting bodies. Master's level training in Nursing, Public Health or another health-related field.
