This role supports the clinical data program for Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Acting as an internal consultant for all levels of the organization, the Clinical Data Analyst supports clinical leaders in data/metric creation, writing/creating reports, data analysis and metric reporting. The Clinical Data Analyst develops and manages data-driven quality improvement projects, creates actions to improve quality metrics, and coaches/facilitates prioritized hospital initiatives to achieve desired outcomes. Serves as expert user, overseeing internal and external quality databases/reporting systems, developing and generating ad hoc reports.
•Demonstrated experience in the application of quality improvement methods, including PDSA, LEAN, Six Sigma, Control Charts, data collection, analysis and reports •Ability to assess and analyze data with fluency in statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R and Minitab •Highly developed problem solving skills •Strong program and project management skills •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Comfortable and skilled at working with physicians and healthcare providers; healthcare experience desired •Knowledge of quality data reporting systems and registries •Strong coaching, teaching, and facilitation skills •Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office •Understanding of team dynamics and change management

Bachelor’s degree with healthcare experience highly desired. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience using large healthcare datasets including claims, EHR/EMR and health services data; One year of SQL programming experience preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma, performance improvement methodology, proficient at excel and experience with other statistical software
