Under the direction of the Director of Certificate Programs, Postgraduate Medical Education, the Education Program Manager will be responsible for the management of at least three -6 or -12 month longitudinal, international blended learning programs. This role has evolved away from straight program management to one which focuses more heavily on program development and delivery.
The Education Program Manager works with Program Directors to develop course syllabus, design course content, recruit and hire appropriate faculty to staff all course components (webinars, recorded online content, workshop instruction), identify and obtain course materials, create and administer student assessments, and facilitates office hours and orientation sessions as needed. The Education Manager also works with subject matter experts (faculty) to communicate education standards, program goals and objectives. The Education Program Manager also collaborates with education coordinator, admissions, and student records staff to ensure that the student experience maintains a high standard of service and professionalism. In close coordination with Program Operations team, this individual manages the education components at international workshops to ensure that participating faculty and materials are prepared for the program by communicating program session needs and standards. This individual may supervise Teaching Assistants assigned to specific courses as required, to assist with teaching responsibilities. This individual may with faculty lead and TA help identify curriculum material that needs to be updated and give suggestions for improvement based on evidence-based research and assessment. With the assistance of an Education Coordinator, this individual will utilize HMS-CANVAS or other learning management system for online course delivery as the primary method of student communication. The Education Program Manager will also over the maintenance of the online course library, the scheduling of curriculum materials including assignments; coordinate preparation and release of on-line course material. The education manager will test and recommend online learning solutions to complement CANVAS as needed. The Education Program Manager also works with the education coordinator to clear students for graduation and certificates, informs Student Record Manager of student status changes, Manages the academic compliance process for students, Administers course assessments; time assessments in consultation with Program Director and PGME policies. Analyze assessment data and identify areas of improvement, recommend appropriate changes. Working with Education team, identify Working effectively within a culture inclusive of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations, and appreciate and leverage the capabilities, insights, and ideas of all individuals. points for improvement including academic standards and policies, process improvement and standardization across all programs. Bachelor's Degree, 5 years related experience managing students and academic programs in a higher education setting,
Master's degree preferred. The successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; the ability to work independently; excellent verbal and written communication skills; project management skills and oversight; cultural sensitivity; may include travel (potentially international) to program and workshop sights; strong customer service skills
