| (2021-2022 Academic Year) Position Description
The primary role of the Associate Director of the Upper School is to lead and advance the academic program at the Upper School. Key responsibilities of this position include oversight of the Upper School academic program, active partnership with the Department Chairs, Academic Center, Deans' Office, Counseling Office, and Health Center. Additional responsibilities include development and oversight of the academic calendar, advisory program, transition and retention efforts, and active participation in admission events.
Professional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree, have significant teaching and administrative experience, demonstrate exceptionally strong organizational and logistical aptitude, and a genuine love of working with teenagers, faculty, and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and fostering productive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents in support of the mission and core values of the school and will also have demonstrated success in the areas of faculty supervision and project management.
