We are seeking a Front End Software Sr Engineer for our Digital User experience Engineering Team. This engineer will be a a talented and a passionate Front-end developer to support its software engineering team demands. The Front End Development team's primary responsibility is to build interactive, responsive and device specific 'client-side' of Wells Fargo Digital web applications.
The successful candidate will act as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex front end applications and new brand design initiatives. The candidate maintains broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and collaborating with other key experts to ensure we are making the right technology choices for Wells Fargo.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Translates advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
Supports as technical expert resource for architects in the development of target architectures to ensure that they can be properly designed and implemented through sound engineering practices.
Provides expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advises and mentors others with the goal of knowledge transfer. Represents Wells Fargo to external industry groups, influencing industry standards.
Works with technology and business teams to design, build and implement consistent branding standard, rich content, accessible and compliant web application
Fosters a culture of Innovation and a high quality software engineering practices
Provides technical mentorship and guidance to build cost effective complex UI solutions
Develops and document detailed end to end UI flow and design for web and mobile applications
Works in Agile paced development environment, interact with multiple stakeholders to deliver the quality product in a timely manner
Conducts prototyping, UI navigation modeling, performance driven design, profiling to improve the application performance
Provide guidance and establish standards for performance test initiatives that take a true end-to-end focus on ensuring client side, server tiers are performing as expected
Develops and implements an organization-wide SDLC quality process initiatives to improve application quality and security
Evaluates the emerging UI trends, technologies, tools and processes to bring innovation to department
Promotes the teamwork in a highly collaborative, diverse and team-oriented development environment

7+ years of software engineering experience
7+ years of HTML (HyperText Markup Language) experience
7+ years of Cascading Style Sheets experience
2+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux
1+ year of SDL tridion content management system experience
3+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1 or a combination of both
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
5+ years of web design and development experience
5+ years of leadership experience
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis and tuning for applications
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, npm, Yarn
Experience with Windows or Mac OS-X set up and usage for React JS development
Other Desired Qualifications
Strong expertise in working with Node JS, WebPack and other tools related to React Front End Development.
Experience in unit testing code with JEST / enzyme / Jasmine / Mocha / Chai/ React Testing Library is desired
Ability to work additional hours as needed
