Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.
Wells Fargo is currently seeking a key member of the Strategic Sourcing team supporting Corporate Properties with a focus on strategic sourcing and negotiations. This person will work with leaders within Corporate Properties to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service strategies impacting the entire enterprise. This individual may work across multiple spend categories developing Strategic Sourcing strategies and lead contract negotiations for high risk products and/or services, and suppliers who have significant strategic business impacts. They will be accountable for category savings targets for multiple categories and supplier performance measurements and partner with business groups to issue/evaluate RFx opportunities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Customizes contract risk terms and drafts non-standard contract terms and conditions to proactively address Strategic Sourcing, business and risk concerns.
Research and analyze contract data, business goals and market conditions to proactively identify cost savings opportunities.
Determine deal strategy and control all aspects of contract negotiations and competitive supplier assessments.
Work with key stakeholders (senior leaders) across the LOB or enterprise to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service strategies.
Proactively identify and escalate risk-related issues, identify alternative options/solutions based upon standard templates.
Act as the primary liaison for current and potential suppliers (high risk/dollar spend). Resolve systems, recurring supplier and customer issues.
Establish supplier evaluation/selection criteria and coordinates supplier due diligence activities.
Develop and negotiate performance metrics to monitor supplier performance. Establish e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, environmental, and Strategic Sourcing cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies. Uses experience, supply base knowledge, benchmarking data, and market conditions to determine appropriate supply-side and demand-side category levers. Develop and deliver management reporting. Partner with key stakeholders to review policies and procedures related to sourcing, negotiations, contract execution, and payment processing, customizing as needed for particular commodities.
5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sourcing, technical sales, consulting, or vendor management demonstrated through work or military experience
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree
A Master's degree or higher
Ability to provide strong customer service and develop customer relationships
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Experience coordinating multiple tasks within aggressive time frames

Experience working with Construction and International Sourcing and Suppliers.
Legal terms and conditions contract negotiations experience
Experience sourcing, negotiating and contracting in information technology space includes knowledge of hardware, software, SaaS, and hosted solutions.
Experience negotiating contracts and sourcing for a large complex organization in highly regulated environment.
Project management, change management, decision-making, and time management skills.
Experience coordinating cross functional teams to mitigate supplier risk (legal, information security, enterprise technology, risk, business continuity, clients, etc.)
Experience building and managing relationships with key stakeholders and working across large organizations
Highly independent and self-motivated; results and quality driven.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contract negotiation.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of sourcing methodology.
