What will I be doing in this role?
The Associate Director, Development Events is responsible for conceptualizing, managing and executing high-quality events and functions that take into consideration goals, themes, and audiences. Designs and executes to promote and support departmental objectives. Creates and implements matrixed event production strategies in response to changing external and constituent criteria. Works directly with leadership, and internal/external stakeholders to identify opportunities and collaboratively plan a comprehensive event strategy that promotes and delivers increased engagement and philanthropic support. Collaborates and partners with communication and marketing efforts to build a cohesive and consistent donor-centric experience.
Identifies and facilitates discussions to ensure the highest quality event experience in a digital or physical format. Manages and leads a team of direct reports executing all assigned events related to recognition, stewardship, engagement and cultivation. Responsible for coordinating with key stakeholders within the Development Department, the events team resources and all aspects required for delivery of programming; including project timelines, event budgets and the negotiation and management of contracts with vendors.
In collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams/departments, oversees all printed and collateral materials for events and the marketing efforts to promote activities. Contributes to departmental goal setting, operational planning and procedure creation.
