Case Western Reserve University, a member of the University Athletic Association, is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations. Working under general direction, the Associate Athletic Director is responsible for the leadership and management of all athletic facilities, events and services.
Responsibilities include facility management, direct supervision of three full time staff members as well as student facility staff, event/ game day management, capital projects, planning and project management, and all internal/external revenue and non-revenue rentals. Serve as a sport supervisor for two to three varsity programs. Develop a relationship with the coaches and their student-athletes to ensure the total athletic experience and its proper relation to the academic environment at Case Western Reserve University.
Responsible for Spartan Club initiatives, communication and events.
A minimum of five years of experience in athletic administration and facility management is required. In addition, candidates should have:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required, both oral and written required
Demonstrated facility and operations management background.
Knowledge of NCAA, UAA and PAC rules as they relate to facility management and scheduling.
Knowledge of NCAA academic and behavioral rules, regulations, guidelines and standards for student athletes.
Ability to work independently to organize multiple projects simultaneously required.
Employee management skills; ability to educate/train staff, delegate and supervise effectively required.
Proactive approach to potential problems, excellent problem-solving skills required.
General computer skills.
Ability to meet consistent attendance.
Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
