Oversees the planning and implementation of the outreach strategies on the ADMETE grant. Partners with local and regional entities in the development of the proposed workforce development program; creates a coherent K-12 outreach program around the State of Ohio with special focus on the eastern region of Ohio which is defined by 20 counties. Manages a core consortium comprised of YSU's College of STEM, Eastern Gateway Community College, and regional K-12 schools. Aims to educate and prepare undergraduate engineering students with the necessary skills to design and develop digital microelectronic devices and systems.
Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM disciplines, Communication, or Business and two years of experience (may include Graduate Assistantship or Student Teaching experience) in career counseling/development and/or services in a K-12 educational setting. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community driven. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player. Strong organizational and managerial skills, excellent communication and leadership skills; in-depth knowledge of student development; individual and group advising techniques; skills to assist individuals with career decision and development concerns, and in identifying factors influential in career decision making, current knowledge of employment, and career planning materials; proficient personal computer skills, including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
Master's degree in STEM, counseling, or higher education administration; knowledge of and experience in Handshake or another similar database.
