Position Summary: The Senior Director of Marketing develops and executes brand and marketing strategies to support brand reputation and enrollment at the University, with a focus on graduate, undergraduate, adult and transfer student markets and programs.
In partnership with Admission, they are responsible for strategic planning and management of graduate, undergraduate, adult learner and transfer advertising, message strategies and integrated communications efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties): Work with senior administrators to develop marketing strategies in support of institutional priorities and enrollment objectives Ensure all paid advertising reflects enrollment strategy and brand standards In collaboration with the VPMC and senior team, help set the digital marketing strategy for graduate, undergraduate, adult and transfer program areas and other external constituencies (e.g., alumni) Recommend and administer appropriate market research and analytics activity to support brand and enrollment objectives Manage external consultants, as directed, to achieve necessary results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs Help analyze and interpret data, market conditions, and stakeholder positions to develop marketing and communication campaigns across the institution Collaborate with marketing team and admissions office to employ best practices for lead generation and lead nurturing efforts Help to manage annual marketing expenditures related to undergraduate, transfer and adult focused efforts
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals This position would supervise 3-4 direct reports Serve as a project manager on communications projects, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education/Training and Experience Required): Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required, master’s degree preferred Minimum of 7 years progressive integrated marketing experience Outstanding editorial, written and verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple complex priorities Proficient with industry-relevant software and tools including Google Marketing suite, social media, marketing automation tools Understanding of SEM and SEO best practices Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education and online learning marketing preferred Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: The Senior Director of Marketing attends frequent evening and weekend events.
