The Associate Director assists the Director of Student Life in managing all aspects the program designed to enhance the quality of life of the 1,300 students enrolled in the full-time Master of Business Administration program. This work includes counseling, directing and managing individuals and small and large student-affiliated groups related to student activities. Additionally, this position is in charge of strategizing, planning and executing a number of large student and Kellogg community events.
Serve as a thought leader to help design, plan, execute and launch continuous efforts to improve Kellogg’s Student Life program.
Partners with Director and Assistant Director of FT Student Life to develop and manage programming and policies that improve the full-time student experience.
Provides personal & program advising to FT students, pre-students and student partners.
Leads execution of Kellogg Leadership Journey (KLJ) programming for 1300 FT students. Develops KLJ two- year curriculum in collaboration with Associate Dean of DEI and Leadership.
Manage and direct student executive committee for student orientations (2Y CIM, 1Y CIM and Internal Transfer Orientation). Includes recruitment of student leadership teams and volunteers, planning of events, management of over-all schedule, oversight of logistics, marketing and execution of programming in conjunction with student leadership team.
Designs and implements developmental programming for CIM Fellows.
Manages Internal Transfer process including the review of applications, interviewing applicants, coordination of Internal Transfer Committee and decision making process. Plans and runs Internal Transfer Orientation program in support of PT students as they transition to the FT program. Responsible for planning, organizing and executing Grad Week, including scheduling, event planning, website development, managing logistics, volunteer recruitment and marketing and communications.

Responsible for special events such as the Dean’s Awards Ceremony, which includes coordinating the selection process for the Dean’s Service Award recipients.
Serves as advisor to and liaison for the student partner community (Joint Ventures and Kellogg Kids). Provides connections with community resources, job search strategies, resume consultations, networking advice and advising and organizational strategies.
Partners with CAPS, local providers and student government to develops and manage twice quarterly mental health and wellness programming for student body.
Participates in planning and executing large scale student events overseen by the Student Life team such as Check-ins and KSLS.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Seven years of professional experience in a business or higher education setting in a similar role.
Prior experience facilitating and advising individuals and groups.
Must have experience in a university setting.

MBA or Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Ed, or related field.
