As a highly motivated Project Manager focused on Data Center Fiber Optic Construction, you will leverage your experience and technical expertise to lead complex projects with numerous cross-functional teams. You plan requirements with internal customers and external partners to usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes working with customers to develop project scopes, managing project schedules and cost, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your project teams can span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to report on and keep all the stakeholders coordinated and informed on the project's progress and schedule. You will be responsible for resolving highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.
Technical Skills and Requirements:
Construction project/program management experience with fiber optic systems and low voltage telecom/security, preferably in the data center environment.
Experience reviewing construction documents for technical accuracy and feasibility.
Demonstrated ability to work with and lead internal/external cross-functional and partner teams to develop scope, project plan, budgets, and schedules.
Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale projects on-time, on/under budget, with a clear emphasis on safety and quality.
Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast track design build processes and associated documents and contracts.
Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives on schedule within budget.
Experience in developing requests for proposal (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and in negotiating with contractors and vendors.
In-depth knowledge of fiber optic testing standards and equipment.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience focused project management in the telecommunications, low-voltage and fiber-optics construction experience.
Previous data center experience strongly desired but can be substituted with experience in similar critical environments where work involves impact to core functionalities and is governed with formal change control process.
Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast track design build processes.
Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives on schedule, and within budget.
RCDD, PMP, or similar industry certifications strongly desired.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems. Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized.
