This is the engineering position for the scrum team who will be working directly with the Product Owner and LOB partners and other technical/business teams in the US time zone. This resource will be responsible for IBM DataPower developing, implementing and supporting mission critical interfaces providing secure gateway and data transformation capabilities for RISE team.
Works with partners and clients groups to resolve questions, assess and document user needs, and recommend changes for RISE development team. Prepares specifications for system changes and work with RISE development team in a squad to design, develop and deploy integration solution accordingly.
Will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
Work in several critical interfaces across multiple lines of business like Community Banking, Corporate Technology, Digital Channels, Wholesale Banking and Lending
Actively participate in project analysis and design sessions and work with other SMEs, architects, business/technology partners
Translates complex business requirements into technical solutions through efficient design and using appropriate tools and technologies
Designs, develops and unit tests SOAP and REST based web services, contributes to functional specifications as they pertain to complex business requirements and processes
Provides support for overall systems testing; supports the implementation of the application into production
Creating XML schema, JSON schema and development using XSLT and WebSphere Transformation Extender(WTX) and configuration using DataPower
Creating design documentation, participating in code review and mentoring junior developers
Provide support for researching production issues which includes troubleshooting with cryptography(digital certificates),networking, IBM DataPower and IBM Message Queuing (IBM MQ)
This position will work with the teams in the U.S. and in international locations (India, Philippines) for development and support of the application
Participate in all phases of the SDLC including documentation, code reviews, research and production support
Lead and direct junior team members as required
5+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years of application development experience
5+ years of DataPower experience
4+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience
3+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
3+ years of Websphere Transformation Extender (WTX) experience
5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
3+ years of microservices development experience
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
5+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience
Knowledge and understanding of security technologies and concepts including identity management, single sign on, directory services, role based access control, cryptographic algorithms, mutual authentication and certificate management
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Experience supporting or directing offshore teams
Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
Other Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of Micro-services architecture, framework and design patterns
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Position Hours: Monday - Friday (as early as 7 am and as late as 6 pm ).
Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
