Serve as main point of contact and lead two grant funded projects. Work includes:
Identify, plan, and facilitate individual and group educational opportunities for health care and social service providers in Iowa, such as: didactic trainings, interactive trainings, webinars, clinical preceptorships, technical assistance, consultations, and case presentations
Work closely with project leadership including the director, project managers and clinical advisors and faculty to design, revise, implement, expand, adapt, evaluate, report, and disseminate a tailored workforce development program for healthcare professionals
Position will conduct day-to-day and overall management of the projects with the intent to meet project goals and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders in Iowa
Project Liaison 20-25%
Support projects in Iowa and Minnesota. Work includes:
Attending virtual meetings with clinic staff, taking action-oriented notes
Help prepare clinic training materials
Help prepare administrative materials for clinics (such as policies/procedures)
Supporting colleagues on other projects as needed
Other grant requirements as assigned: reporting, data entry, grant writing, etc.
Grant reporting, project tracking, needs assessments, evaluation, accounting paperwork, data entry/maintenance, etc.
Travel as needed in Iowa for in person meetings and trainings. ***NOTE: This aspect of the job is currently on hold due to COVID-19. Travel will resume when is safe as determined by both employee and MATEC
Please note: this position will be serving projects in Iowa, and the MATEC offices and most of the MATEC- MN and IA staff are located in Minneapolis/St Paul, MN.
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or advanced degree plus 2 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight years
Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated abilities to work independently and as a part of a team
Comfort with and sensitivity to many lifestyles, cultures, and communities including HIV+ adults, men who have sex with men, and rural or native populations
Ability to facilitate group discussions and prepare logistics for training events
Innovative perspective with competency in problem solving
Professional communication style, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple ongoing projects
Experience with Microsoft office suite, google drive, qualtrics/other survey design software, Zoom and other video meeting platforms
Personal cell phone that can be used as needed for work purposes
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours to meet the program participant needs and availability
Valid drivers license and personal vehicle to be used for work purposes (project will reimburse for gas/mileage)
Masters Degree in Public Health or similar field
Experience with grant based employment such as developing and following work plans, reporting requirements and federal financial policies and procedures
Comfortable communicating with administrative leadership, clinical leadership, and all providers and staff on a clinical team
Previous experience with remote project management related to infectious disease or HIV/AIDS
Ideal candidates will have experience in curriculum development and the process of revision of project materials and approaches in response to changing clinical guidelines and the healthcare environment.
