Job Description Summary: The Digital Content Manager provides day-to-day management for the Webster University website, home page, landing pages, and other digital sites as necessary to support University recruitment, retention and information distribution. In association with the chief communications officer and department directors, conceives strategies and approaches for communication through the University's digital platforms. Conceives and develops web content for the website and other digital platforms. Duties include:
Management of other members of the University's digital team, at the direction of the chief communications officer, the director of marketing & creatives services, and other directors that the CCO may designate.
Maintains quality standards and brand standards for all digital marketing and digital communication materials.
Works with faculty and staff to foster understanding of uniform brand standards for all digital communication.
Analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of digital content, including creating regular reports to supervisors based upon digital dashboards and other analytics.
Monitors emerging technology and keeps supervisors apprised of needs and changes in the dynamic system of digital media.
Has experience with the OmniUpdate system of templates or the OU Campus system.
Has experience integrating the needs of various CRM systems, such as QuadWrangle, iModules, or Slate.
Expert at coding web pages utilizing CSS and XHTML. Highly conversant in programming languages including JavaScript, SQL, and PHP.
Expert at server interactions using SSH, FTP, SFTP and other protocols.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, information technology or related field.
More than seven years of professional experience creating standards-compliant websites using XHTML, and CSS, PHP, SQL/MySQL, and other programming languages.
More than seven years of experience with interactive marketing, communications and/or information technology including a solid understanding of search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
Experience managing a digital team or website maintenance team.
Ability to successfully communicate technology concepts to colleagues with varied knowledge and skills. Ability to translate the inside language of coders and discuss it with a wider audience who do not have that technical knowledge.
Ability to evaluate non-technical users needs of technology systems (such as interaction with a CMS).
Experience in OmniUpdate and other related content management systems.
Experience in WordPress development, customization and administration.
Understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve website and digital marketing efforts through the use of new technology.
Understanding and knowledge of GDPR, and a commitment to uphold those standards.
Understanding of usability, information design, and ADA Section 508 Accessibility best practices.
Ability to multitask with strong time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications Previous relevant experience in higher education environment preferred.

Ten years of experience with interactive marketing, communications and/or information technology including a solid understanding of search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
Three to five years experience managing a digital team or website maintenance team.
Essential Duties Manages the Universitys digital team, at the direction of the chief communications officer, the director of marketing & creatives services, and other directors that the CCO may designate. Oversees and manages the Universitys website and other digital platforms as assigned.
Maintains quality standards and brand standards for all digital marketing and digital communication materials.
Works with faculty and staff to foster understanding of uniform brand standards for all digital communication.
Analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of digital content, including creating regular reports to supervisors based upon digital dashboards and other analytics.
Has experience with the OmniUpdate system of templates or the OU Campus system. Maintains contact with the OU Campus support team as necessary to support the Universitys website.
