As a Performance Improvement Specialist (RN) you need to know how to:
Lead, develop, and identify quality initiatives and use process improvement techniques to meet SCL Health and Good Samaritan Medical Center goals.
Develop and use data analysis to identify and drive quality and process improvement decisions.
Be responsible for core measures and submission of data for regulatory agencies. Act as an agent of change and lead projects tasked to improve quality outcomes.
Use Quality Engineering principles, tools and practices to develop and optimize systems and processes that are aligned with the overall business and quality vision.
Perform chart reviews and collect data for and maintain the database to meet core measure data submission requirements of regulatory agencies, e.g. The Joint Commission. Analyze data for performance improvement activity planning and evaluation within the GSMC quality program.
Be responsible for Core Measure real time abstraction, SEPSIS coordination, and RN/Physician education around Core Measures.
Collaborate with the Director of Quality, monitor quality results, and leverage Process Improvement tools to ensure expected results are met and or exceeded.
Partner with Lean participants in the development of standardized workflows, instructions, and procedures.

Bachelorâ™s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license
Minimum of five (5) years relevant healthcare or hospital experience
Demonstrated experience with change management and project management leadership, tools and techniques
Excellence in data analysis and reporting - will be responsible for Core Measure, SEPSIS, real time abstraction and RN education around Core Measures
Expert in using spreadsheets
Certification or ability to obtain Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt training within two (2) years of hire
Highly prefer a master's degree
Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Calendar, and Slides), preferred
