State Street Alpha brings together data and capabilities across the investment lifecycle to help our clients make better decisions, grow at scale, and deliver returns for their clients. We partner with clients to optimize their operations, data, and technology footprint by leveraging the Alpha Platform and outsourced Alpha Services. The State Street Alpha Services Optimization and Strategy team is looking for qualified individuals with strong experience in communication, strategic and client project management, business analysis, systems flows and business architecture to help develop the foundational processes for client engagements and implementations of the industry's first ever front-to-back client servicing platform. The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail orientated and be able to move seamlessly between multiple projects and changing client requirements.
The role will be responsible for creating foundational processes and documentation, driving strategic projects for the Alpha Services organization, and contributing to the due diligence, solution design, implementation/onboarding, and post-go-live efforts for several client implementations (likely simultaneous). The role will include working on solutions not only for specific clients, but also as part of the core Alpha platform that will be leveraged across all Alpha clients.
This role will be responsible for creating repeatable and scalable playbooks, strategies, and artifacts related to Alpha client sales, due diligence, implementations and other strategic client engagements
Manage and expand central knowledge databases (functional capabilities, applications, interfaces, etc.) supporting Alpha solution design and implementations
Work across internal teams and with external clients to actively support business development and implementation activities by effectively delivering client related documentation across many cross-functional teams
Collaborate with other teams to share approaches, develop best practices and improve team capabilities to successfully migrate clients
Become a product and platform SME on State Street's Alpha platform
Drive or contribute to strategic projects chartered by Alpha executive management
Qualifications: State Street considers all disciplines when hiring for a job and seeks out candidates who demonstrate the following:
Bachelor's degree or above. 5 - 10 years of financial industry experience across front office functionality along with middle (IBOR) and back office systems, services and data domains.
Strong understanding of State Street technology and data infrastructure, including internal and client-facing software and data solutions, current-state data flows, and familiarity with the development lifecycle at State Street
Strong understanding of State Street's organizational infrastructure and ability to work across senior stakeholders
A results-oriented individual with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and lead team efforts
Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral presentations
Ability to navigate organizational structure to foster collaboration and produce marked results
Strong problem solving and project management skills
Expert in MS Office including MS Visio and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline orientated, globally structured team-based environment
Experience integrating with other industry software providers to promote platform interoperability (i.e. Bloomberg PORT, CRD, BRS Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, Factset, Fidessa Minerva, Eze Software, etc.) (all portfolio management platforms)
