Seeking Associate Veterinarians (Part-Time or Full-Time) at
BENSON ANIMAL HOSPITAL (Bethesda, MD) –
Just 5 Minutes Outside of DC!
Benson Animal Hospital – an established, busy, independently owned small animal practice in Bethesda, MD – seeks Full-Time and/or Part-Time Associate Veterinarian(s). We are looking for vets with integrity, compassion, and a love of the practice of medicine.
Founded in 1953, Benson Animal Hospital is a multi-generational family practice serving downtown Bethesda and the Washington, DC community for almost seventy years– we have third-generation clients coming to us now! The practice is just across the District of Columbia-Maryland border(five minutes from the District line), in the bustling and extremely walkable downtown Bethesda area. The area is Metro and bus accessible, but there is parking available onsite.
A full-service small animal hospital operating on a walk-in basis, BAH welcomes routine medical, surgical, and dental care as well as emergency cases seen during business hours. Our treatment process is conservative, yet up-to-date with the latest research, and we understand that each case is unique — or, as we say, "modern medicine, delivered the old-fashioned way." We pride ourselves on educating clients at every step, ensuring that they understand the treatment process and outcomes and, most importantly, have agency over their animal’s health.
BAH utilize advanced in-house imaging such as ultrasound, endoscopy, and digital radiography (including dental), which allows us to maintain an exceptional quality of care for our clientele. We operate as a walk-in clinic for the convenience of clients, but surgeries are scheduled in advance. Our team of vet techs provide superior support, facilitating seamless care.
BAH provides an exceptional work-life balance. Average work week for full-time is 40 hours; part-time schedule is negotiable. No after-hours or on-call emergency duties. Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick leave, and health insurance, with salary commensurate with experience. Licenses plus local continuing education paid for by the practice. Immediate openings are available, but we are also seeking applications from veterinary school seniors!
