Required Qualifications:
- MA or MFA degree in film/media or a closely related field that includes formal training in film/media.
- At least one year of experience in teaching at the university level, preferably in a liberal arts context.
- BA degree in film/media or a closely related field with significant, tested experience in cinematography, editing, and sound design may be considered.
Essential Functions:
The Program in Film & Media Studies invites applications for a part-time adjunct lecturer position for Spring 2021. This position will involve teaching one three-credit course, 225 Making Movies I, a digital moving image production course focused on teaching students cinematography, editing, and sound design in the context of narrative film production. The applicant should be committed to an approach that emphasizes continuity editing and visual storytelling, as well as be proficient with digital cameras and audio recorders, lighting equipment, and Adobe Premiere.
Job Type/Schedule:
This is an adjunct position that works approximately 9 hours per week. The course is scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday at 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Salary Range:
Base pay commensurate with experience.
