This position produces, creates and maintains all forms of video projects for the faculty, staff, and administration of Boston College, including select University events and projects. The position must demonstrate practical and creative abilities in digital media production, such as video and audio editing, video production techniques, and project management methodologies. The incumbent should possess an understanding of the concept, design and development of digital media projects, including extensive knowledge of a variety of design, development, and production software and technology.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Producing, recording and editing of narrative, promotional and documentary-style videos Producing, recording and editing of various University events Use of Adobe CC suite for video editing, color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics and video compression Supervision and Training of student employees Act as secondary point of contact for all office operational questions, tasks and duties Meet/consult with clients to create project proposals, timelines and develop project scope Coordinate all talent, locations and production schedules to maintain delivery date Experience recording with DSLR, Super 35mm or equivalent 4K cameras

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $43,250 to $54,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Multimedia, Film/Video Production, or related discipline preferred along with a minimum of three years of experience in the field. Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Video/Multimedia field. Candidate must have the ability to manage projects and work independently with clients, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Position requires evening hours. Experience in non-linear editing, and knowledge of video camera operation and associated production skills are necessary. Staying up to date on new and emerging technologies in the digital media field is essential. Experience in higher education preferable.
