Drew University is seeking a Registration and Records Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar. This entry-level position serves as the Registrar’s Office point person for faculty, staff, students, and external constituents through the monitoring of the office’s main email accounts, processing of specialized registration (independent studies, tutorials, cross-registration, rosters), and evaluation and entry of transfer credit. Additionally, this position processes a high volume of requests from current students and outside offices, updates confidential information on student records, and answers daily inquiries in person, via phone, and by e-mail. Lastly, this person liaises with offices across campus to address and troubleshoot student, faculty, staff, and alumni inquiries and provides transcript and enrollment verification coverage when needed.
Monitor and resolve issues that are directed to the office’s main e-mail accounts, disseminating information or processing requests in accordance with academic policies. Providing consistent and accurate information from the Registrar’s Office.
Serve as the primary contact for general information related to the Registrar’s Office, assisting with in-person requests, phone call inquiries, etc.
Responsible for all approved data entry processing from e-mail requests, forms, and internally run audits.
Process specialized registrations requests: building sections and registering students.
Create student records for programs handled outside of admissions.
Evaluate and enter transfer credit for current students.
Fulfill transcript and enrollment verification requests when needed.
Minimum Education and Experience:
1-3 years’ experience in a high-volume, customer-service focused department or commensurate experience.
Excellent data entry skills, strong organization abilities, and exceptional oral and written communication.
The ability to learn and apply established policies and practices to be able to answer inquiries or resolve issues presented to the office.
Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, meet established deadlines, and maintain a strong attention to detail while handling day to day work.
Ideal Education and Experience:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Understanding of FERPA
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner or similar student information systems
Familiarity with the Google Suite
