As an IT Analyst – Server Administrator, you will collaborate with peers in the IT department, provide IT support across the organization and utilize your expertise to ensure system availability for the organization.
Assist with support for computer hardware, software, and cloud services used by foundation staff and campus partners.
Collaborate with vendors for IT hardware and software support, verify the accuracy of licensing, products, and services.
Monitor IT systems to ensure system uptime.
Design and execute software patching strategies that minimize user disruption while effectively updating systems. Participate in security assessments and assist with remediation efforts to protect digital assets.
Participate in IT special projects and initiatives as assigned by project leader.
Recommend solutions to enhance the systems and infrastructure of the organization.
Provide research support for new technologies.
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences; MIS; or other related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience with computer hardware, software, and servers.
Desired Skills & Experience
MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect) in Microsoft server or other server related certification.
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences.
Outstanding customer service skills. Must be patient, attentive, and always maintain professionalism.
Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. Must properly handle confidential information.
Collaborative style, ability, and desire to work in a team-based environment, a dedicated work ethic, and a positive and professional attitude.
Ability to multi-task, manage and organize multiple initiatives with independence, creativity and effectiveness.
Ability to use a variety of software applications such as Active directory, Group policy, Office 365, Okta, and Windows Server.
Should have an understanding of VMware, and storage area networks.
Should be familiar with two factor authentications, how PKI certificates work.
Should be familiar with core networking concepts.
