Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Install and troubleshoot residential and commercial audio/video systems including wiring, speakers, amplifiers, televisions, projectors, various audio/video sources and related components.
- Install and troubleshoot wired and wireless network systems including, modems, routers, managed and unmanaged network switches, wireless controllers and wireless access points.
- Install, program and troubleshoot home control systems including control processors, remote controls, touchscreens, thermostats, and tablets
- Install, program and troubleshoot lighting control systems including dimmers, switches, control processors, and repeaters
- Install, program and troubleshoot motorized window treatment systems, includes shades, drapery track, control processors, keypads and keypad wiring
- Install and troubleshoot camera surveillance systems including network and digital video recorders, cameras, wiring, and router port forwarding configurations.
- Installation of equipment racks utilizing proper techniques for equipment placement, wire management, ventilation and power distribution
- Neatly and clearly provide and complete daily documentation and job status reporting.
Technical Qualifications: - Working knowledge of Control4 equipment and programming in Composer 2.x and 3.x, Lutron RadioRA2 programming. Lutron Homeworks programming is a plus.
- Knowledge of Savant, RTI, and URC equipment and programming is also a plus.
- Well versed in network design topologies, router reservations, DHCP, LAN, VLAN, port forwarding, STP, band steering, fast roaming, VPN and OVRC monitoring.
- Working knowledge of HDBaseT, video matrixing and distribution, TV, projector and screen setup and configuration.
- Knowledge of commercial pro audio/video including balanced audio, microphones, pro audio mixers and speakers, pro audio wiring, wire termination types and methods is a huge plus.
- An understanding of room acoustics and video calibration would also be a positive.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction documents and plans as well as of construction methods and materials.
- The ability to quickly analyze a finished space and determine the safest, most effective way to retro-fit install wiring.
- Confident knowledge and experience of working with Windows PC and Mac/Apple products.
- Working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- We would be willing to train the right person for many of these disciplines where you may not have experience.

- Speak with clients professionally, respectfully, confidently, clearly and in a non-technical fashion.
- Work independently and work in team environments with other installers and technicians.
- Interact with architects, builders, interior designers, general contractors, electricians and other trades on a job site.
- Deal with system issues and troubleshoot, relying on our team’s knowledge and ability to effectively communicate with various manufacturer’s technical support services.
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional work environment and job site.
- The perfect candidate will be a natural leader with a professional presentation and demeanor.
- Must be fluent in English. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
- Clean driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
