Our Breast Care Center Team is looking for a Full-Time Patient Coordinator. The hours being offered are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

As a Patient Coordinator you need to know how to:
Interpret and transcribe dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services.
Coordinate all front office operations for the Breast Care Center Team.
Interview patient or significant other to obtain accurate demographic, medical, and financial information required to process registration and completes this function in a timely manner.
Using Epic/E-Summit, be responsible for computerized registration, scheduling, insurance authorization, collection of co-pays, entering charges and payments, and reconciling postings at the end of each day of business.
Greet and direct all visitors and patients to appropriate personnel or department ensuring all scheduled appointments arrive promptly.
Transcribe medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care.
Demonstrate an understanding of the responsibilities related to the transcription of patient records to protect the patient and the business/institution.
Operate designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment as directed to complete assignments.
Copy and distribute medical reports.

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheet knowledge, and computer applications used for patient information data entry, required.
Medical terminology knowledge, strongly preferred.
Previous ambulatory registration experience using Epic or E-Summit, strongly preferred.
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, strongly preferred.
