The Supply Chain Systems Analyst role is to assist in the support of the Supply Chain computer systems and other associated Supply Chain business software applications. Specific responsibilities will cover day-to-day support of the Supply Chain Systems and related Applications. This includes serving in a Help Desk capacity for end-user support, configuring, upgrading, testing and will assist in maintaining the Supply Chain Systems. This position will also participate in the overall planning and coordinating the processes required for application change management, application security and controls and the provision of enhancements and new applications necessary for business operations.
The Supply Chain Systems Analyst will also have responsibility for day-to-day procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of and related application problem tickets, including the monitoring, tracking, coordination and resolution of support tickets. This is defined as Level II Support. This position will contribute to problem resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support and training.
This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the Business Units and Application Support Team on issues related to the design, development, and support of mission-critical information and business applications.
SCMSystems include: PeopleSoft, TMS, Omnicell, St. Croix, GHX, EDI, Vendor Tracking, Instrument tracking, and SCM Web site. This also includes all inbound and outbound interfaces that impact the SCM systems and applications.
Assist with the assessment and development of the annual application support goals and service levels for area of responsibility in conjunction with the Business Unit and IS Management.
Provide functional support and trouble shooting of system configuration for area of responsibility (and other modules as appropriate).
Provide response to and resolution of application incidents and performance issues for area of responsibility. Assist with level 3 system support calls that cannot be resolved by existing help desk.
Monitor operation of critical Process and Services for area of responsibility (such as functional support for Supply Chain close, EDI, interfaces and other critical processes).
Develop or revise test scripts for testing software updates.
Provide support to Project Management for related service requests for new reports or enhancements.
Enforce established and other Application Security access controls. Assist in the review of security profile changes to ensure private and sensitive data is protected. Coordinate or perform application and security audits.
Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials and user skills are current and coordinate necessary user training
Participate in design sessions to review and/or configure new systems and features. Recommend improvements and solutions which would improve business efficiency, quality and/or process while maximizing functionality
Transfer knowledge and capabilities to the Business Unit organizations including document development and training delivery
Test and assist in the development and execution of the functional and acceptance test plan
Any and all other assignments as needed
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field - OR - 6 years directly related experience in lieu of degree - OR- equivalent combination of education and related experience.
2 - 3 years experience in a supply chain or finance related role. Prefer 6-12 months experience configuring and supporting PeopleSoft Financial Modules. Functional knowledge of all supply chain business processes.
Experience in troubleshooting issues to resolution.
Working knowledge in development of training materials and strong presentation skills.
Very strong customer service and communication skills.
Possess basic technical skills in Query tools (Query & nVision) development tools, interfaces methods and protocols.
Experience with configuration methods, tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of Supply Chain system support and development principles, and practices.
Experience with business process analysis methods and flowcharting and documenting techniques.
Project management experience.
Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Strong functional and technical documentation skills.
