The Manager of Process Improvement is responsible for supporting and providing revenue cycle assistance to the CBO Director (CCPN) in project management, maintaining systems, processes and work flows. The position supports education to applicable leadership, implementation support and serves as a facility liaison to Cook Children’s Health Care System (CCHCS) staff as it relates to revenue cycle issues. This position has collaborative relationships with Patient Financial Services, Information Systems, Revenue Integrity, Practice operations, Finance, and Compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Services, Business, or related field required.
Minimum of three years in revenue cycle (patient access, patient financial services and/or denial management) experience or equivalent relevant experience.
Three years revenue cycle trending/metrics experience, including extensive knowledge of Federal, State and third-party insurance reimbursement, processes, and appeals preferred.
Strong ability to analyze and interpret simple financial and statistical data.
Strong computer skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skill, and ability to communicate effectively across operational areas.
Knowledge of hospital and clinical healthcare delivery.
Prior experience/certification with Epic Systems Revenue Cycle solutions preferred.
