Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is an Administrator/Supervisor position that directs and supervises the Housekeeping staff as well as assist the Housing Director in preparing budget estimates for the Housing Operations Department.
Duties of the position include:
Responsible for planning and scheduling the work assignments.
Obtain materials, and supplies needed for operations.
Establish and coordinate training programs to ensure safe working conditions.
Coordinate the daily workloads.
Evaluate the performance of the Housekeeping Supervisors and staff.
Responsible for conferring with the Director of Housing Operations in preparing budget estimates for materials, equipment, personnel, and funds needed for building maintenance as well as special projects.
Responsible for maintaining records of vehicle fleet within the Housekeeping area and to coordinate monthly servicing and inspections.
Responsible for assisting in the training of new residence hall staff during yearly RA and RD training programs.
Earned Associate's or four-year degree.
Experience working with commercial housekeeping, floor maintenance, education facilities/residence hall cleaning guidelines & standards, housekeeping equipment, personal protective equipment, green cleaning products, keys, safety guidelines & standards, moisture remediation, damage assessment, and general building maintenance knowledge.
Experience creating master schedules and timelines.
Experience create electronic reports, spreadsheets, and documents.
Experience creating processes and procedures.
Experience working around students.
Experience working at a college or university.
Experience with computer programs and technology.
Experience working with contractors and vendors.
Project management experience.
Strong written communication skills.
Supervision of full-time staff.
