The Office of the Senior Vice President for Human Resources is seeking an experienced and innovative HR Process and Data Analyst to help identify and solve Human Resources issues, in support of strategic initiatives and operational activities. The HR Process and Data Analyst will be a subject matter expert (SME) in process mapping, and will have experience with redesigning Human Resources processes and transactions to promote operational excellence.
Specifically, this role will lead design sessions to collect stakeholder feedback, and perform process management functions. These functions may include data gathering and analysis, best practice research, process mapping, developing and recommending alternatives for improvement, and developing performance metrics. Additionally, this role will interact with leadership and/or stakeholder groups, and propose and monitor post-process improvement initiatives to track key metrics. The HR Process and Data Analyst will use process improvement approaches such as Six Sigma to support process improvement initiatives, and Â manage expectations for outcomes, while balancing priorities and adhering to timelines. Finally, the successful candidate will display exceptional listening, organization, and analytical skills Â and be a champion for the universityâs vision, culture, and values.
Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term position.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Documents step by step processes by interviewing multiple users (HR facing and client facing) and executing transactions in the Workday sandbox.Â Makes relevant inquiries regarding processes to establish the relevance of the step noted and how it impacts other processes.Â Notes area of potential improvement separately for follow up.Â
Leverages operational experts and gathers their guidance while implementing Six Sigma or design methodology and best practices.
Partners with department directors and process owners in the organization to create and develop project plans; drive results and revise plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while maintaining linkage between projects, business needs and customer priorities.
Gathers data to improve HR relationships with and services to business units. Provides guidance and consultation regarding HR-related policies, regulations, procedures, trends and issues (e.g., labor laws, payroll, salary equity). Collaborates with university stakeholders as needed to support departmental goals. Implements tasks and projects with clients in mind, leveraging design-thinking principles to address complex challenges.
