Associate, Strategy Planning & Corporate Development

The candidate will assist the Head of Strategic Planning & Corporate Development in facilitating New Product Approvals, coordinating business and regulatory projects, and supporting strategic planning. This role will require the candidate to work closely with business heads, department heads and external vendors located in different locations across CLSA.
Key Areas of Responsibility (KRA's)
New Product Approvals
Facilitate completion of risk assessments and approvals for new products.
Organize new product approval meetings and assist in management of follow-up tasks.
Monitor and report on progress of new product implementation.
Coordinate post-implementation and periodic reviews of new product initiatives.
Provide coordination support for strategic and regulatory projects.
Coordinate necessary documentation to frame decisions around project scope, schedule and budget.
Assist in the establishment of project governance framework for implementation.
Organize project meetings, coordinate project tasks, and facilitate resolution of issues.
Assist in budget planning and completion of balanced scorecards.
Provide support for the production of competitor / peer group analysis.
Participate in the formulation and planning of strategic priorities for CLSA.
Assist in the reviews of corporate operations, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
University Graduate with relevant degree (e.g. Business, Finance)
3-6 years of work experience in financial services, project management or management consulting roles
Candidates with more experience may be considered for more senior position.
Knowledge in project implementation and management will be an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to develop working relationships at all levels within an organization
Ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables at the same time
Proactive team player, with a "can do" attitude
Strong sense of personal responsibility, ownership and self-motivation
Mandarin Chinese written and verbal communication skills will be an advantage
