Art Director Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented creative with a passion for graphic design, superior attention to detail, and is deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of clients. They will have a thorough working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and have a basic understanding of motion graphics and video editing to provide constructive feedback to our team of graphic designers and videographers. The candidate must be able to manage a project from start to finish and have a passion for logo creation, illustration, and branding. A love for the automotive and/or outdoor industries would really set you apart.
The Art Director will work closely with the Vice President of Creative to ensure all work meet our high quality standards and is completed on-time. When there is a high workload, the Art Director must be able to manage last minute requests when needed. The Art Director will also interact directly with clients to ensure that project requirements are updates are properly communicated and understood. This is a full-time, in-house position that sometimes requires long hours and occasional travel, though we are currently allowing for remote work as a result of COVID-19.
Must have experience in graphic design, prior experience as an Art/Creative Director is a plus
Full working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Must know how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must be able to oversee the creation of advertisements, brand decks, social content, digital banners, postcards, presentations, newsletters, e-blasts, videos, and trade show booths
Experience with studio, event or automotive photography and a portfolio to show your gallery is a plus
Experience with videography or video editing is a plus
