Responsibilities: The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the day to day operations to support the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations. The Director will play a role in supporting cross-functional initiatives, human resource management, budgetary management and meeting enrollment and success operational objectives. This position requires excellent business acumen, strong financial skills, experience managing staff, organizational skills, project management skills, as well as versatility, flexibility, discretion and diplomacy, and a passion for improving service delivery for students. Directs daily budget and operations management for the Enrollment & Success office and directly supervises Administrative and Operations staff for Enrollment & Success. The Director will lead budget management, modeling, forecasting and analysis, human resource management, internal policy development and analysis, preparation of presentations, reports, and daily resource allocation and workflow management. Plans, develops, and executes enrollment management research in an array of areas (e.g. market research and peer institution analysis) that aids in the evaluation and implementation of budget and operational management strategies designed to meet the enrollment goals for the university. Creates and manages work groups to accomplish projects and tasks within the Enrollment & Success office. Provides direct oversight and manages short- and long-term allocation of financial resources for all teams within Enrollment & Success; develops and communicates budget-related processes to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to university policy. Facilitates consultant and senior level contracts, routing through the Enrollment & Success office. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least five (5) years of full-time progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in education administration/higher education Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative, financial, and policy-driven responsibilities Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and an ability to adjust according to audience Ability to trouble-shoot, problem-solve, and anticipate issues needing resolution Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced and adaptive environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and professional Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet frequent and changing deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel Demonstrable polished professionalism, ease and agility in interacting with executive leadership, board of trustees and other c-suite professionals An ability to anticipate needs and operationalize quicklyPreferred Qualifications: An advanced degree along with progressive responsibility and demonstrated success at a senior level, with a proven track record of: Leading with integrity and transparency; Collaborating on idea development and strategy implementation; Effectively utilizing outcome-based decision making; Experience managing a multimillion dollar budget.Evidence of creative and analytical problem solving, excellent communication and a customer service oriented approach. Relationship building skills with both internal and external constituents and success in working with a diverse work environment.
