This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and innovative ETL Developer to help us transform data management and data services.
You will join our thriving Data &Analytics practice as part of the Fraud Error & Debt team transforming data management and data services.
We're a motivated team who are focused on delivering excellent customer service. We collaborate with our stakeholders to create innovative solutions in a diverse and large scale operation.
This is valuable work. Our team helps support and protect citizens and ensure they are supported. You'll work on colossal data-lakes transforming raw data into quality data-sets.
You'll provide technical leadership and stakeholder management skills and play a key part in driving a strategic solution and leading the transformation agenda. As part of the MI team you'll provide coherent reporting and deliver real change as we move to new platform for debt recovery.
You'll be versatile and adaptable employing varied project Management techniques and methodologies like Agile Waterfall or Kanban.The scope and scale of this data is wide and complex and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and those of your team within this challenging environment.
What will I be doing?
You'll review business requirements to ensure they are clear and robust, and transform business and user requirements into reusable production ready code and/or effective data models.
You'll engage with data owners, suppliers, operations and end data users for data modelling for mapping specifications.
You'll research and investigate to identify possible solutions to problems which could delivery of robust/quality products.
You'll communicate, coach and collaborate with a range of stakeholders, taking on data profiling to support design -advising, guiding, negotiating, persuading, discussing and gaining understanding of issues.
You'll be responsible for integration of a variety of source data, using judgement and guidance to determine the appropriate approach.
You'll conduct proof of concept and discovery work to provide information and advice and recommend a course of action
What skills & experience we are looking for?
Experience of Project Management methodologies using both Agile and Waterfall.
Experience and knowledge of designing, developing a range of ETL routines using SAP Data Services.
A working knowledge and experience of SQL scripting preferably and a working knowledge and experience of Unix / Putty/AIX
Experience and knowledge of Data BI Visualisations SAP, Business Objects and Qlik.
You're a good communicator. You understand the best media to communicate findings. You Shape and share your communications based on the audience. And your're able to give tactical recommendations.
Experience of leading the design and build of complex data pipelines, including big data Hadoop frameworks, both on premise (Cloudera distributions), and public cloud (AWS/Azure).
