The candidate will work on the COVID-19 WWTP Surveillance project with the Simmons/Melvin research team and will help to maintain tissue cultures, submit reagent orders, and conduct RNA extraction from samples as they arrive to the medical school laboratory. The candidate will report regularly to project manager and present progress toward weekly benchmarks to the entire research team at group meetings
Job Duties 100% -sample sterilization -sample filtration -RNA extraction -Reporting on the processing through to the next stage of workflow in dashboard

Required: BA/BS or a combinations of related education and work experience to equal 4 years. Applies knowledge and skill lo recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
Preferred: Degree in Biology and knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
