The Citi Hong Kong Finance team is responsible for all aspects of Finance - driving business performance, ensuring all Financial control processes are in place, delivering timely and accurate financial disclosure including U.S. reporting, management reporting, and local regulatory reporting and developing Finance talent andbench strength for Hong Kong. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall financial conditions of Citi Hong Kong, key areas of responsibility include financial controllership, business planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, balance sheet management, tax planning and compliance for the Hong Kong franchise
Leads the Legal Vehicle Management group that monitors, controls and optimize the activities of ~30 legal vehicles (incorporated in Hong Kong/managed out of Hong Kong).Drive ongoing legal entity reduction initiative.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting and disclosure, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in Hong Kong and in the U.S.
Oversees business planning, budgeting and financial analyses for the entire Citi Hong Kong franchise.
Actively participate in HK Franchise governance committees
Defines and implements financial controls that are aligned with business strategy and goals.
Applies a broad and comprehensive understanding of different finance systems, theories and practices. Integrates a thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the finance function within the business with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in local banking industry practices.
Contributes to the medium- to long-term planning for broad issues affecting the businesses and franchise.
Uses excellent communication skills to influence a wide range of audiences and may represent a major function in external events.
Builds a strong team of finance professionals, build bench strength for the function
Experience and Qualifications:
Prior work experience as a Country Finance Officer in a financial services institution preferred
Bachelor's Degree majoring in Accounting preferred
Sound project management experience
Deep understanding of the business dynamics of Corporate and Consumer Banking preferred
Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a network of strong partnerships with the business (relationship and product management) and core Finance functions, particularly decision makers and influencers
Experienced in partnering with regional and global peers in leveraging and implementation of best practices
Mature leadership and presence as a senior manager.
Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity
Makes decisions using well-reasoned judgment under pressure and in a timely manner;
Dynamic and flexible.Ability to see the 'big picture' in a complex environment.
Demonstrated influencing and negotiating ability.
