As a Medical Staff Quality Coordinator you need to know how to:
Coordinate medical staff quality programs (ongoing professional practice evaluations; focused professional practice evaluations; processing/audit statistics; identified process improvement initiatives, etc.).
Assist with continual evaluations and improvements of medical staff administrative procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements, state and federal statutes, and Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and policies.
Help coordinate the medical staff quality program to query multiple databases for clinical, procedural, and credentialing data.
Manage systematic collection and reporting of selected quality indicators.
Prepare clear, concise, understandable tables and reports.
Prepare ongoing professional practice evaluations and coordinate leadership review and follow up.
Assist in Medical Staff and staff education in the principles and methodologies of medical staff quality programs.
Perform routine and intensive medical record audits.
Aggregate, analyze, display, present, and maintain physician specific quality data.
Support Medical Staff Committees as requested.
Support Joint Commission preparation and continuous readiness.
Assist with strategic planning to align organizational goals with improvement initiatives and organization need.

Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office or G Suite, and Internet use.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Understanding of data management and analysis techniques.
Demonstrated experience with data mining, data analysis and data display.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of the clinical environment.
Bachelorâ™s degree in relevant professional field (e.g., healthcare-related, statistics).
Current CPHQ, CPCS, or CPMSM certification
Experience in the medical services profession.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to TJC, CMS, State, and patient safety principles.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with physicians on quality initiatives or programs.
Experience with participation in quality improvement teams.
