This individual will be the product owner of multiple business applications for both on-premise and vendor hosted / cloud platforms. The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with the IT team on projects that enhance and/or change application functionality to meet business requirements. They are expected to know the end-users of their applications and have a high-level understanding of application usage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage overall product vision and product roadmap.
Work with business stakeholders to define and prioritize new product features.
Maintain feature backlog and package user stories for iterations and releases.
Define acceptance criteria and story prioritization for Agile development sprints
Gather and create business requirements and functional specifications and interface with the IT team to design new products, new product features, and client-specific enhancements.
Create workflow diagrams to represent current- and future business processes.
Create use cases based on business requirements.
Create and execute detailed testing plans.
Collaborate with IT Director to develop and ensure that best practices are followed. This includes: procedures, standards, methodologies, and guidelines.
Participate in software application selection, customization and configuration.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Must have previous experience facilitating meetings/discussion groups related to requirements definition/gathering, issue resolution, and process improvement.
Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with knowledge of front-end applications and IT architecture.
Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications (MS-Office, MS-Teams, Visio) or other project management or requirements management tools.
Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, leadership, time management and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication
Knowledge of the legal or professional services industry preferred
College degree or equivalent in Business or Information Technology
PMP Certification is desired
