Tenet Healthcare has an immediate opening for an experienced Manager, HIM Analysis to support senior HIM leadership's ability to identify key priorities for revenue and performance improvement opportunities, including effective management and oversight of Tenet's outsourced coding vendor.
The Manager, HIM Analysis will be strategically responsible identifying and supporting Coding/Revenue Cycle performance improvement opportunities; providing management and oversight for Tenet's outsourced coding vendor, transforming data into actionable information and plans; improving timeliness of identifying higher opportunity actions, specifically including the coding vendor; providing uniform methodology for visualizing opportunities; engaging key functional areas within the entities to prioritize opportunity areas of focus; and, providing increased monitoring capabilities regarding identified but unrealized performance improvement opportunities.Will be tactically responsible for the following processes: managing outsource coding vendor system access and related requests, HIM/Coding/Revenue Cycle reports, dashboards and other reporting mechanisms; data mining, including identifying potential opportunities using various data modeling methodologies; and, reducing coder and computer-assisted coding application performance variance to improve productivity and accuracy; project management.
Bachelorï¿½s degree required (preferred areas: Business, Computer Science, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Mathematics or Statistics)
1-3 years progressively responsible management experience
Expert level knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (we are specifically seeking R experience, but also Excel, Tableau, and SQL knowledge)
Expert level knowledge of managing, monitoring, and designing companyï¿½s databases (Access)
Intermediate knowledge of Healthcare Coding and/or Revenue Cycle concepts preferred
