Senior Accountant

Job opportunity with a local public accounting firm offering services in the areas of accounting, taxes, management advisory services, and client monthly accounting services. 

Responsibilities:

• Implement tax and/or accounting engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects)
• Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and small businesses; research tax issues as they arise; make recommendations for tax savings opportunities
• Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine appropriate forms for tax return
• Prepare, reconcile, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Compile statistical, financial, accounting reports pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
• Contact and meet with clients
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures for clients including deadlines
• Manage time and realistic engagement budgets
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary
