The Product Data Specialist plays a key product data role within the Hillsboro, NH based marketing team. The team is responsible for all aspects of marketing – from advertising and communications, new product launches, product data management, retailer specific in-store signage and merchandising, omni-channel excellence, and tradeshow planning. This role is critical to ensure we create a strong foundation to manage and grow our digital business, providing a positive customer experience.
Product Information Management (PIM) Platform
Lead project to establish central PIM Platform (Syndigo) focused on data quality and best in class processes to support the evolving needs of our company and industry.
Gather, organize and execute attribute updates and new product SKU creation to ensure fast and accurate product introductions and maintenance.
Process and maintain updates to standard industry formats Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard and Product Information Exchange Standard automotive application and product data to ensure accuracy of digital bulb finder & online sales.
Serve as the first point of contact for any data issues
eCommerce Product Management
Collaborate with Marketing Specialist to ensure product content is optimized for performance and Search Engine Optimization where applicable.
Publish and maintain all website product
Establish and standardize product taxonomy and product attributes across product lines and provide guidance to retail partners for consistency online.
Establish database standards and maintain content of internal knowledge sharing/documentation repositories including documenting processes and workflows.
Look for opportunities to streamline and improve workflows and processes with a laser focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement to data quality.
Leverage machine learning/Artificial Intelligence to simplify and scale product data solutions for long-term efficiency.
Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing and Sales teams develop and manage work plan related to PIM, product and database projects, ensuring team and retailer goals are met.
Maintain regular audits of Sylvania-Automotive.com and retail partner ecommerce sites to ensure accuracy and quality of listings
Establish organizational and project management best practices within the Marketing team to prioritize business and information needs
Lead in the development and utilization of our Marketing Project Management Tool (Monday.com), for optimization of processes and adopting new technologies.
Collaborate with Marketing and team leaders on synthesizing and prioritizing requirements into project workflow processes, acting as a mentor and adding value to our Project Management Tool.
Participate in department meetings and perform other tasks and related duties as assigned.
Related experience including:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of work experience in product information or master data management.
Strong analytical abilities; able to dig into complex data sets to help inform decisions.
Experience with eCommerce or digital product management
Proven results in defining product roadmap goals and exceeding them.
Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel expertise required, comfortable manipulating large data sets.
Superior attention to detail and time management, working within specified deadlines.
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, with excellent time management skills.
Previous experience in automotive or industrial data is a plus
Previous experience with a PIM (Syndigo or Stibo) and work management software (Trello, Monday.com) is a plus
Basic understanding of SEO best practices is a plus.
