The Media Services Technician II supports users of AV and IT equipment in classrooms and event spaces; maintains equipment; and collaborates with colleagues to ensure high quality services are delivered to the campus community, faculty needs are met and customer satisfaction is high.
Education and Experience
2-3 years experience providing AV support or equivalent required.
Experience in academic computing support in higher education preferred.
Experience with multiple platforms (Window, iOS) required.
Working knowledge of AV equipment including troubleshooting skills required.
Strong foundation of understanding of signal flow and potential relationship with problems required.
Working knowledge of Crestron room control systems. Ability to administer/troubleshoot system via room touch panel and remotely via Fusion required.
Excellent customer service skills; strong commitment to customer service; and positive attitude required.
Ability to work effectively in a group and as a member of a project team required.
Ability to apply problem-solving skills to meet needs of customers in a quick and effective manner required.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks required.
Clean driving record required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to understand and present complex technical issues to a diverse customer base required.
Ability to work independently and proactively; work effectively in a group and as a member of a project team required.
Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
Successful completion of a criminal background check and education verification is required.
