The Admission Associate is an integral member of the Admission team, which includes a Director of Admission, Assistant Director of Admission, and Admission Assistant. The position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the School’s admission process, including fielding questions, scheduling student visits, conducting parent and student interviews, providing follow-up communication, and coordinating Admission events. This Admission Associate implements the School’s admission social media content strategy and marketing & communication efforts.
The Admission Associate also serves as a member of the Middle School and Upper School Committees to review, recommend, and select candidates for admission to the school.
Key duties included:
Engage in daily communication with prospective families via email, phone, and other communication channels
Provide complete and efficient service to prospective families, visitors, and guests by answering questions and providing follow-up communications
Conduct interviews with prospective students and their families
In conjunction with the Digital & Brand Marketing Specialist develop and implement an admissions social media content creation strategy, calendar scheduling, and content posting that supports the school’s admission strategy
Organize and conduct both in-person and virtual admission visits and events
Increase awareness and positively promote Bullis School Admission through outreach by developing maintaining positive relationships with local feeder schools
Represent and promote the school within the greater community and at various regional school fairs
Accurately maintain student files and the Admission’s database, identifying and analysing trends in data to support the admission strategy
Participate in general admission office activities
Attend Upper School faculty meetings
Qualified candidates should possess following education & experience:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent education and experience
Previous experience in an educational setting or in communications preferred
Must be able to exchange accurate information in a professional manner with parents, students, faculty, staff and other professionals
Detail-oriented, with the capacity to effectively and efficiently manage numerous small and large tasks
Proficiency with Windows and Apple OS, Microsoft Office, cloud computing (Google Docs, etc.), and other productivity and media software.
Experience with Admission databases, such as Veracross preferred
Enjoy working in a cooperative, creative, team-oriented environment
Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends, as needed
Ability to regularly sit, stand for long periods and the ability to lift to 25 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations
